The Dirty Dirty

The Dirty Dirty functions as an alternative space for the exhibition of works already produced, a place for collaborations, and an initiative for artists to work outside their everyday studio practices.
While growing up in “the Dirty South,” the creator experienced generous attitudes towards art production and distribution by Outsider artists and aims to encourage such beliefs through this open-ended forum for making, performing, collaborating and exhibiting.
Members:
Tsubasa Berg, Eric Clausen, Sarah Granett, Urayoan Noel, Anne Percoco and Tom Russotti (frequent contributors)

"Panel Discussion" provided an opportunity for exhibition under the slightly awkward dimensions of 77" x 10". Many of the artists created work specifically for this vertical presentation, and because of the number of wooden panels in the Dirty Dirty, over 30 artists participated in the show. The opening of the "Panel Discussion" coincided with the Institute of Aesthletics' "Wiffle Hurling" match, a sidewalk "chair-jousting" competition by The Post Neo-Absurdists of New Brunswick, New Jersey, and readings from poet Urayoan Noel and novelist Stephen Witt.
The upcoming event will be "Pseudonymous," where all work exhibited will be displayed under pseudonyms or aliases.
