The Metric System
Founded in Summer 2008 by Andrew Gori, Dumaine Williams and Ambre Kelly
In the effort to promote thoughtful amateurism and cultural evolution, the Metric System encourages cross-disciplinary collaborations between artists, thinkers, scientists and social activists. Reaffirmation of the necessity for live community events, intelligently mixing professionals with enthusiastics, and pulling off the ridiculous in the name of personal expression + bird flipping towards typical life-hurdles are all signature gang signs of the group.
